The trail starts out as a wide, gravel path. After a short distance, it narrows when it heads into the forest.

At this split, you have the option of taking a set of stairs. Take the stairs, because it will lead you right to the Lunch Creek Trail.

The loop trail is only .8 miles long, and you'll climb 88 feet total in elevation gain. It’s an easy path to enjoy, especially as you climb beneath western red cedar, Sitka spruce, and western hemlock. It’s a fabulous short hike that shows off some of the best that Ketchikan has to offer.
