There are few things during the year that garner the excitement that the Alaska State Fair brings. With tons of different booths, carnival rides, dozens of great places to eat, and giant vegetables, this is the very best of the best in Alaska. Grab your loved ones and head on out to the best place to be to the close out the summer!
Every summer since 1936, Alaska has held the Alaska State Fair.
Featuring giant vegetables, gorgeous flowers gardens, concerts with national acts, and the best food to boot, this is the place to be at the end of the summer.
There are over 475 vendors featured at the fair, showcasing items like crafts, art pieces, Alaska grown vegetables, and more!
Whether you’re downing candy apples, turkey legs, tasty reubens, or eating all the fry bread you can handle, there’s plenty of food to enjoy. In fact, you’ll have to come hungry, so you can stuff yourself with corn dogs and go back for more!
Another wonderful aspect to the fair is the carnival rides.
Ride the Ferris wheel high into the sky, or play arcade games long into the night. There is a children’s area with tamer rides, and a couple of exhilarating rides for the adults, too.
However you choose to enjoy the fair, it will be memorable.
This year’s fair runs from August 20th through September 6th, and tickets start at $7.00 for youth and seniors, and $13.00 per adult. Make sure you grab your tickets in advance, and have a great time at the biggest fair in Alaska!
The Alaska State Fair State is a one-of-a-kind experience that we love going to each and every year! Who’s going to check it out this year? Let us know in the comments below!
