There's A Discovery Center In Alaska That's Insanely Fun For Kids
Alaskans are always looking for something to do with the kids. If the weather is ever too wet, or too cold, there’s still plenty of fun options that the whole family will enjoy. The Discovery Center in Anchorage is a huge hit with kids and adults alike!

This is a hands on science center for kids! There are over 80 different exhibits.

These sections are: Tote Kid Space, Earth and Life Science, Thomas Planetarium, Bubble Space, Kinetic Space, and Art Lab and Colab.

Or take a guided trip through the solar system in the Thomas Planetarium. There's a cool area that uses toys to show off how kinetic energy works.

Children will be amazed to see themselves in infrared on screen. There's also an interesting hands on area to encourage learning through play!

Kids will learn about things like surface tension, different shapes, and even light reflection. When else do you have the opportunity to get inside a large bubble?

10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, and closed Monday.
