If you ask anyone about the best burgers in Alaska, chances are they’re going to say “Arctic Roadrunner."
This comfort food spot in Alaska serves up some of the juiciest burgers you’ll find in the Last Frontier. And you know they’re doing it right, because they’re been around since 1964.
It’s been a family affair since it opened, and the food is so good you’ll just keep coming back again and again. It’s why their location is now a spacious restaurant, with plenty of seating and a menu of delicious burgers that will get your mouth watering.
They have a short menu, but everything delicious. And if you’re not feeling beef? Try one of their salmon or halibut burgers, or order a grilled cheese, ham, or smoked turkey sandwich. Everything on the menu is amazing!
These legendary milkshakes are the perfect end to any meal. Sip your shake inside their spacious dining room, or if the weather’s nice, head outside to their patio.
You’ll find gorgeous tables all along the creek, including some additional picnic tables on a little overlook. You’ll see the occasional rafter head down the creek, and plenty of ducks that come over to say hi.
You can get your burger fix six days a week. Arctic Roadrunner is open from Mondays through Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. through 7:30 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The next time you’re in Anchorage, make sure this spot is on your to-do list.
