With a mission dedicated to “enhancing the beauty and value of plant material through education, preservation, recreation and research,” you can expect to find the most glorious displays of nature located conveniently within the city limits. Here you'll find northern horticulture and native plants showcased in an area where you can experience the abundance of summer sub-arctic growing seasons.
Pictured here is Actea, said to be a hardy perennial in our northern region.
From roughly May through September of each year, visitors will find a wide variety of flowering plants and shrubs throughout the perennial gardens known as Lile's Garden and the Lower Perennial Garden.
As you begin to explore this nature escape, you eyes will be delighted by the profound attention to detail that you'll find through every twist and turn.
