If you’re looking for the best doughnuts in Alaska, then you need to get on over to The Kobuk in downtown Anchorage. This Alaskan institution resides in the famous Kimball Building, a fixture in Anchorage since 1915. With so many years under its belt, you know everything that comes out of this cute coffee shop is the best!
The business started out as a mercantile and general store. Both the business and building have evolved over the years. In 1965, a portion of the store was sublet to Patsy James, who began selling teas, coffee, and porcelain gifts to travelers to the state.
They make tons of interesting flavors, but their most famous ones are the old fashioned. If you can only try one doughnut when you visit this awesome shop, then you need to try their glazed old fashioned.
