Not many people know that Alaska has its very own winery in state! The best part about the winery isn’t just it’s award winning wine: they also have dreamy, romantic suites for rent for those that want to spend the night! The Bear Creek Winery in Homer, Alaska is a true romantic getaway for anyone looking to experience delicious wine, a lovely view, and a gorgeous room.
Even though Alaska has very cold temperatures during the winter, we still have our very own winery!
The Bear Creek Winery in Homer, Alaska offers award winning fruit wines and luxurious, private, year round accommodations. The winery uses Alaskan fruit by the pound to mix and create the delectable wines that you can purchase all over the state.
Bear Creek Winery offers three different units for accommodation options.
There's the Bay View Apartment, which is a three bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. It has a master king bedroom, a queen bedroom, and a bedroom with twin beds. It also spoils you with gorgeous views of the bay, mountains, and glaciers. The second option is Arctic Themed Suite, which is one queen bedroom with a kitchenette. The third suite is the Cowboy Themed Suite, which has a queen bedroom and a pull out sofa. This also has a kitchenette, as well as a cute sitting area.

The property itself is stunning, with the koi pond a mesmerizing and serene space.
The Bear Creek Winery operates as an eco-friendly establishment. They both recycle and use biodegradable, earth friendly cleaning products.

Because of the romantic atmosphere of the property, they do ask that no children under the age of 12 stay in the suites. There are also no pets allowed.
The suites come standard with flat screen televisions and a 10% discount on wine purchased. Don't forget that your suite comes with complimentary items like wine tastings, coffee, and tea. You also get to enjoy a free bottle of wine and chocolates.
They also host many events during the entire year. From the Garden Club celebrations, to Christmas fun, and wine tastings year round, this is definitely a place to come and celebrate!
Many of their wines are award winning! This past year at the 2018 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition they brought home silver for their Wild Berry wine, the bronze for their Strawberry Rhubarb, and another bronze for their delectable Alaskan Port.
They offer a great selection of fruit wine for the discerning palate! Enjoy any of their blueberry, apple, black current, golden raspberry, gooseberry, or red raspberry wine, among many more! Their incredible Alaskan Port is so delicious, with molasses and warm vanilla notes.
The views from this winery are just as yummy as their multitude of Alaskan crafted wines.
