This famously massive 9.2 earthquake hit Alaska and killed 133 people. The Good Friday Earthquake was the second most powerful earthquake in the world since recorded history!

The oil boom of the 1960’s and 1970’s had everyone looking at Alaska in anticipation and excitement.

It was a grim time in Alaska when the Exxon Valdez, an oil tanker, ran aground in Prince William Sound and spilled up to 31,700,000 gallons of crude oil into the ocean.
