Alcan Highway
If you want to get to Alaska but you're too afraid to fly (for whatever weird reason) then you're stuck driving, which isn't necessarily a bad thing because driving the Alcan is actually a fun time. This highway is the yellow brick road connecting Alaska to the lower 48.

We have the largest National Forest in the nation at a whopping 17 million acres!
U.S. Purchased Alaska in 1867
The United States purchased Alaska from the Russian Empire for 7.2 million dollars. The town in the image reflects what Sitka looked like around the time of the Alaska Purchase.

Alaska is a tourist mosh pit. There are always people from around the world vacationing here. And we don't blame them... it's awesome here, but one have one request, don't stay! Always go back home. 🙂
