Chena Hot Springs Road (Fairbanks): On this notoriously haunted stretch between miles 8 and 12, after 7 p.m., and usually in the chilling winter, drivers have reported orange, white, and blue orbs following their vehicles. And these orbs aren't self-contained, they are known to spastically showcase flashes of light in all directions. Are you brave enough to drive this road and see these orbs for yourself?
Abandoned Igloo City Hotel (Cantwell): This hidden, spooky treasure is located at mile marker 188.7 on the east side of the George Parks Highway. In existence for more than 40 years, this is truly one of the weirdest places you'll ever see. The round building is igloo-like and reportedly constructed with 888 plywood sheets. The four-story building has become a habitat for wild animals over the years, so if you visit, proceed with caution. And you may not want to go alone, as folks passing by in the dark have seen odd lights inside. And some have witnessed an apparition of a woman in the distance.
Ship Creek (Anchorage): The stunning Ship Creek flows from the Chugach Mountains into the Cook Inlet and is a haven for fans of fishing, especially for king and silver salmon. But when you're out there in the wild, remember, you are not alone. Legend has it that the spirit of Marie, a native Alaskan, roams the area and is said to speak to folks. She was allegedly brutally murdered in the area in 1987. You may not want to take this adventure alone.
Alyeska Resort (Girdwood): This luxury resort is generally a happy place of merriment, offering ice skating, skiing, and snowboarding in a winter wonderland. But this gorgeous place also has a ghost, it seems. Folks have reported sights of a spirit believed to be a man named Chris. Unfortunately, the story goes that he ended his own life on the property. Legend has it that his spirit has remained in rooms 721 and 515, turning on the TV, flicking the lights off and on, and turning the water faucets on and off. What do you think? Would you stay in rooms 721 and 515?
