Here in Alabama, we’re fortunate to be surrounded by many beautiful waterfalls. While some of our waterfalls require strenuous hikes in order to reach them, others only require a short walk. Alabama might be home to many waterfalls, but there are only a few that you can actually walk behind. One waterfall in particular that allows people to walk behind it is the one and only Noccalula Falls.
Noccalula Falls is the main feature at Noccalula Falls Park, in Gadsden, Alabama. It's one of Alabama's most visited natural attractions and is accessible year-round. Noccalula Falls is also easily reachable by a short walk from the park's parking lot.
Noccalula Falls plunges 90 feet into the Black Creek ravine below. This beautiful waterfall was originally known as Black Creek Falls, and it's also one of Alabama's many natural wonders.
