They got their results by analyzing U.S. Census data from 2010-2014 to calculate the growth rate for all 105 Alabama cities with a population of more than 5,000.
According to HomeSnacks’ calculation, these are Alabama’s 10 fastest growing cities:
Pike Road, located in Montgomery County, has the honor of being number one on the list. In 2014, its population was 6,605. From 2010-2014, the city had an impressive growth rate of 30.22%.
Chelsea is a suburb of Birmingham and has been called "the number one family city in Alabama." From 2010-2014, Chelsea's growth rate was 20.09%.

Calera is located in both Shelby and Chilton counties. It was incorporated in 1887, and one of its main attractions is the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum. Calera's population was 12,376 in 2014. Between the years 2010-2014, its growth rate was 19.3%.

Gulf Shores, one of Alabama's top vacation spots, is located in Baldwin County. This beach city's growth rate was 16.47% between the years 2010-2014.
Foley is a beautiful coastal community that, like Gulf Shores, is located in Baldwin County. It has many wonderful parks that attract both residents and visitors. Foley's population was 15,428 in 2014. From 2010-2014, its growth rate was 13.69%.

Coming in at number 10 on the list is Spanish Fort. Spanish Fort is located in Baldwin County on Mobile Bay's eastern shore. In 2014, its population was 7,357. Between the years 2010-2014, Spanish Fort's growth rate was 11.07%.
