Blue Springs State Park is located in the tiny town of Clio and is one of the state's most underrated state parks.
Although underrated, this state park has something that no other state park here in Alabama has. It has a pair of sandy-bottomed pools that are fed with a natural spring. Sadly, this natural spring is also somewhat underrated.
Year-round, the water inside of these two pools maintain a constant temperature of 68 degrees. Around 3,600 gallons of water are also pumped into them each minute. In addition to the water being cool, it's also quite clear.
The next time you're passing through the tiny town of Clio, consider making a stop at Blue Springs State Park to take a dip in one of its natural spring pools. It's the perfect destination for cooling off on a hot summer day.
