Sure, we’re all familiar with Alabama’s major cities, which include Birmingham, Huntsville and Mobile. However, Alabama is so much more than just those cities. Here are 12 additional cities in Alabama that are worthy of checking out:
Tuscumbia, established in 1820, is the county seat of Colbert County. A few of Tuscumbia's main attractions include Alabama Music Hall of Fame, Spring Park and Ivy Green - the birthplace of Helen Keller. The historic downtown area, which features many restored buildings, is also one of the town's main attractions.
Madison, located primarily in Madison County, is included in the Huntsville Metropolitan Area. Madison's motto is "Play hard, learn well and live richly," and the Madison Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 29, 2006.

Daphne, located on the eastern shoreline of Mobile Bay, is nicknamed "The Jubilee City" and features many historic homes and parks. Daphne is, without a doubt, a great place to visit, live, work and play.

Greenville, located in Butler County, is known as "The Camellia City." This charming Alabama town was first settled in 1819 and it prides itself on its historic downtown business and residential area.
Florence, the county seat of Lauderdale County, is the largest city in "The Shoals" area. Florence's nickname is "Alabama's Renaissance City," and it's well known for its annual tourism events, which include the W.C. Handy Music Festival (summer) and the Renaissance Faire (fall).
Bay Minette, located in Baldwin County, is a beautiful place to visit and live. Conveniently located about 35 miles from Mobile and 45 miles from Pensacola, Florida, Bay Minette offers something for everyone to enjoy.
