If you’ve ever been to (or currently reside in) Huntsville, you’re probably aware that there’s something quite special about it. In addition to Huntsville being one of Alabama’s fastest-growing cities, it’s also one of the most affordable places to live in the U.S. This time of year, Huntsville is also really festive when it comes to Christmas lights. Listed below are five Christmas light displays in the Huntsville area that are sure to put you in the holiday spirit.
1. Tinsel Trail - Huntsville
The Tinsel Trail is located in downtown Huntsville at Big Spring Park. It features more than 300 beautifully decorated trees and is open to the public every day through January 3, 2021 from dusk until midnight. Click

2. Galaxy of Lights - Huntsville
Alabama's Galaxy of Lights is a drive-thru light display at Huntsville Botanical Garden. It features a 2.5-mile trail of festive lights, and this year marks its 25th anniversary. The Galaxy of Lights will continue through January 3, 2021 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Click

3. Hall Family Light Show - Owens Cross Roads
The Hall Family Light Show is an annual light display that's great for the entire family. It includes more than 100,000 lights and nearly 50 inflatables. This beautiful light display runs off your car radio, and its hours are as follows: Sunday-Thursday, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday-Saturday, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Click

4. Rocket City Christmas Spectacular - Madison
The Rocket City Christmas Spectacular is currently taking place at Toyota Field. It features a drive-thru light show with synchronized music and lights. It costs $25 per car and will continue through January 3, 2021. Note: The Rocket City Christmas Spectacular will be closed on December 24, 25, 31, and January 1, 2021. 5. Preston Valley Christmas Lights featuring Horseshoe Trail Memorabilia - Brownsboro
The Preston Valley Christmas Lights featuring Horseshoe Trail Memorabilia is a festive display that honors the late Dr. John Higgenbotham. It features thousands of lights and will continue through January 3, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. In addition to driving by and admiring the lights, you can also walk on the property and enjoy them.
