As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
For a glamping getaway amid twinkling treetops, book one of several treehouses in Scottsboro, Alabama at ReTreet. This magical, woodsy wonderland is about 18 miles southwest of the city center near the shores of Lake Guntersville on Highway 79. You can take your pick among 17 different vacation rentals on the property, including six treehouses.
Twinkling lights lead the way to the treehouses, all with names that give a nod to the forest: Oak, Willow, Pine, Birch, Magnolia, and Maple.
Each treehouse is a compact 300 square feet, not an inch of which was wasted to provide comfort and conveniences. Two streaming televisions ensure you don't have to miss your favorite sports or shows. The loft-style second floor holds a comfortable king bed.
Downstairs, there is a full bathroom, a living room space, and a well-equipped kitchenette with basic cookware and utensils. The sofa has a pull-out bed for more sleeping space.

The treehouses all have private patios with outdoor seating and are a generous distance from one another. The placement allows for a reasonable amount of privacy and is close enough for easy communication when camping with friends and family.
The patio is perfect for a morning cup of joe (there's a Keurig stocked with supplies). You might also whip up a simple breakfast in the kitchenette, which has a dishwasher, refrigerator, and freezer.

If you are looking for more space and one-level accommodations, consider one of ReTreet's six extreme glamping tents. Each tent has a theme, from the romantic Love Shack to the wizardly Hogwarts.
Each treehouse rental comes with a complimentary golf cart, which is handy for exploring the property and visiting with neighbors in the community spaces.
If you want to impress your fellow glampers with your campfire game, pick up s'mores supplies and a few of these telescoping roasters. You'll be the hit of the pit.
You may have heard of forest bathing, which is a Japanese practice of relaxing amid the quiet of the trees. The Tree Spa at ReTreet is a bit more literal and features a hot tub and sauna on an outdoor deck.
Forget anything? The 24-hour tree store stocks snacks, toiletry essentials, and a few local gift products. The store operates on the honor system with a Square terminal for self-checkout.
Dogs are not only allowed but welcomed and can stay in the treehouses and glamping tents, which all have food and water bowls. Note that there is a flat fee for bringing a pet, and they are not allowed in the tiny houses for safety compliance.
ReTreet even has a dog park for the four-legged guests. Other shared amenities include a 9-hole disc golf course, a horseshoe pit, charcoal grills, stocked fire pits, corn hole boards, and primitive walking trails.
If you are interested in booking one of the glamping sites, visit the ReTreet website and keep up with the property’s latest announcements on the ReTreet Facebook page.
