Mooresville is located in Limestone County, Alabama. With a population of less than 100, it's also one of the state's tiniest towns.
Incorporated in 1818, this tiny town is quite historic. The reason being is the fact that it's older than Alabama, which didn't officially become a state until 1819.
The entire town of Mooresville is also included on the National Register of Historic Places. One of its most historic buildings is its post office (pictured), which was built around 1840, making it Alabama's oldest operational post office.

Another historic building in Mooresville is its Old Brick Church, which was built in 1839. Even though regular worship services haven't taken place at this church since the 1960s, it's still used for events and photo ops.

While in town, you'll also want to visit the Stagecoach Inn and Tavern. This historic building was built prior to 1825 and was the original location of Mooresville's post office. It's also a former tenant house and an antique, glass, and china repair shop. The historic Stagecoach Inn and Tavern is currently operated as a museum and Mooresville's official town hall.
