There are many unique places located in Alabama, including museums. Tim Hollis’ Pop Culture Museum is one of the state’s most unique museums and is a must-visit for all ages. To take a step back in time, you’ll want to visit this one-of-a-kind museum, which you can learn all about below.
Take a look:
Tim Hollis' Pop Culture Museum is located inside his home in Dora, Alabama. There's no other museum in the world quite like it.
This unique museum features a collection of more than 11,000 items from the 1960s. From lunch boxes and old records, to board games and children's books, these items will most certainly fill you with nostalgia.
Tim Hollis has been growing his museum collection since 1981. In fact, it's gotten so large over the years that he actually had to build a 4,200-square-foot addition to his home.
If you didn't grow up during the 1960s, you'll still recognize many of the museum's items because they're still relevant today. For example, Tim Hollis has a fun collection of Tony the Tiger memorabilia.
Tim Hollis' Pop Culture Museum also features a great collection of Holiday Inn memorabilia, which includes items such as ice buckets, ash trays, soaps, and more.
