Here in Alabama, tornado season is no joke. Alabama ranks as #1 in most violent tornadoes, and sadly everyone here knows someone who has been affected by a tornado in one way or another.

Yes, this issue is controversial, but an Alabama state lottery, in my opinion, could really help the state. Plus, most of the residents against a state lottery are the same ones driving across the state line to purchase a ticket. It would be so much better if this money stayed in Alabama, don't you agree?

For example, many concerts aren't held in Alabama. Most of the time, we must travel to Georgia (Atlanta) or Tennessee (Nashville) in order to see the bigger concerts. Well, that's if we're lucky enough to score tickets.

Yep! This pretty much sums it up! The moment summer arrives in Alabama, it's only a matter of time before we're all wishing for fall to arrive.

There are many rural areas located throughout Alabama. Whether you live in these areas or just passing through, good luck finding decent cell phone reception.

For example, if you're driving in the larger cities, you've got to take on horrible drivers and hope you don't develop road rage. If you're taking an afternoon drive in the country, you have to worry about hitting a cow or getting stuck behind a tractor.

Because Alabama isn't a densely populated state, there aren't any major sports teams here. This is a real bummer for sports fans.

Sure, freshly-fallen snow is beautiful. However, when it snows here in Alabama, chances are it'll freeze the moment it starts to melt. This ice will then weigh down power lines, cause wrecks, etc. Basically, the ice will shut down the entire area and we'll be forced to stay inside and live by candlelight.
