Having been in business since 1948, Tasty Dip is the oldest restaurant in Heflin. This old fashioned drive-in restaurant offers something for everyone, including a great selection of frozen treats that are perfect for cooling off in the summer. 3. Kowaliga Restaurant - Alexander City
Kowaliga Restaurant is a secluded restaurant that's located on Alabama's Lake Martin. It can be accessed by either car or boat. Since opening for business in 1953, this waterfront restaurant has welcomed many guests from near and far. When it comes to food, Kowaliga Restaurant serves something for everyone, including its famous fried catfish (pictured). The next time you're in Alexander City, consider visiting this restaurant. Try to go at dusk to experience an unforgettable sunset.
4. Capitol Oyster Bar - Montgomery
Capitol Oyster Bar is located in Montgomery on the banks of the Alabama River. In addition to serving some of Alabama's tastiest oysters, it serves other types of seafood such as shrimp, fish, crab legs, and more. If you're not in the mood for seafood, no worries! Capitol Oyster Bar offers other types of food, including mouthwatering burgers and juicy steaks. This waterfront restaurant also offers an incredible view while you enjoy your meal.
5. Lulu's - Gulf Shores
Lulu's is a unique waterfront restaurant in Gulf Shores that was founded by Lucy Buffett. In addition to serving delicious food, this restaurant also offers an experience like no other. Guests can partake in a variety of activities during their visit, including walking along a three-story rope course, getting inside a hurricane simulator, hula hooping, and more. Families love visiting Lulu's, especially during summer.
6. Kreme Delite - Athens
Since opening for business in 1951, Athens' Kreme Delite has been a local favorite. This old fashioned drive-in restaurant offers a variety of food, including a great selection of frozen ice cream treats. In fact, it's known for serving some of the best soft serve ice cream in town.
7. Sunset Pointe at Fly Creek Marina - Fairhope
Sunset Pointe at Fly Creek Marina in Fairhope, which offers both indoor and outdoor dining, overlooks beautiful Mobile Bay. It's well known for its delicious seafood and spectacular sunset view.
