Alabama is home to many city parks. While some of these parks are located in larger cities and are very well known, others aren’t. One of these little-known parks is Spring Park, which you can learn all about below.
Spring Park, which was established in 1919, is located in historic downtown Tuscumbia, Alabama.
There's also a 51-jet fountain in that lake that shoots water more than 150 feet into the air. These jets are choreographed to music and lights, and they can be enjoyed throughout the day.
Another attraction at Spring Park is Cold Water Falls, which is the largest man-made natural stone waterfall in the world. Each day, around 4,320,000 gallons of water passes over the waterfall.
There are several attractions at Spring Park that are enjoyed by all ages, especially children. One of them is a large playground area, complete with slides, swings, monkey bars, and more.
When it comes time to eat, there's no need to leave Spring Park. You can bring food from home to have a picnic, and there's also a couple of places to order food, including Claunch Cafe.
