The Annual National Shrimp Festival is held each fall in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Attracting around 250,000 people annually, it's one of the largest shrimp festivals in the nation.
This year's festival, which happens to be celebrating its 49th year, will take place Thursday, October 6th through Sunday, October 9th. It'll be offering lots of shrimp that's prepared a variety of ways by some of the area's top chefs.
If you're a seafood lover, but you're not in the mood for shrimp, no problem. A variety of other seafood favorites will be available, including fish, crab cakes, and more.
And if you'd rather not have seafood at all, you're in luck because there will also be several food vendors onsite selling everything from burgers and corn dogs, to sandwiches and nachos.
