Alabama is well known for its many outstanding hiking opportunities. It addition to its longer, more strenuous hikes, the Yellowhammer State also offers several short hikes. One of the state’s shortest and sweetest hikes is Pulpit Rock Trail. You can read all about this popular trail below.
Pulpit Rock Trail is located atop Mt. Cheaha - Alabama's highest natural point. This 0.6-mile out-and-back trail is one of Alabama's most popular hikes and it's accessible year-round.
If you plan on hiking to Pulpit Rock, getting there is pretty easy. However, the hike back is a bit steep.
As you make your way along the trail, you'll encounter lots of forest, wildflowers and rock formations.
