The Hike To This Pretty Little Alabama Waterfall Is Short And Sweet

Without a doubt, Alabama is a hiker’s paradise! There are several hiking trails located throughout the state. While many of these trails are quite lengthy, others are much shorter. One of Alabama’s shortest and most scenic trails is Parker Falls Trail, which you can read all about below.
Parker Falls Trail, which is located within the Sipsey Wilderness area of the Bankhead National Forest, begins on Kinlock Road near Kinlock Falls.

This 1.7-mile trail has a moderate rating and offers lots of beautiful scenery along the way, including flowing creeks, lush forest, rock outcroppings, and more. Even though you'll experience lots of beautiful scenery along this short trail, it's the waterfall at the end that attracts hikers.
This waterfall is Parker Falls, which is a small cascade that's located on the west side of the Bankhead National Forest. You'll also pass a few smaller waterfalls before reaching this one, depending on the amount of rain the area has received.

Many hikers believe Parker Falls Trail is best suited for older kids and adults. At the beginning, the trail is easy and relatively flat. As it continues, it gets a little harder to hike. At the end, however, you'll realize the hike was well worth it once you reach Parker Falls.
The next time you're exploring the Sipsey Wilderness area of the Bankhead National Forest, consider hiking Parker Falls Trail. It'll most certainly become one of your favorite waterfall hikes.
