When most people think of wine, the last place they’d expect to find a vineyard is in Alabama. Surprisingly, Alabama has its very own wine trail that features beautiful vineyards throughout the state, including Hidden Meadow Vineyard – a remote winery that’s perfect for a day trip.
Hidden Meadow Vineyard, which covers four acres, is a vineyard/winery that's located in Jemison, Alabama at 664 County Road 606. It's also part of the Alabama Wine Trail.
All wines are made onsite from grapes and other fruits that come directly from Hidden Meadow Vineyard's property, and sometimes from other sources. Grape varieties planted here include Muscadine (Noble, Carlos and Magnolia), Concord, Niagara and Cynthiana.
More than a dozen varieties of wines, from dry to dessert, are offered at Hidden Meadow Vineyard. Be sure to stop by for a tasting the next time you're in town.
While strolling the grounds of Hidden Meadow Vineyard, you'll be surrounded by some of Alabama's most natural scenic beauty. This area is also very peaceful.
