Alabama is home to a variety of outdoor attractions, including Railroad Park. Even though Railroad Park is open year-round, one of the best times to visit is during the Christmas season. Railroad Park is located in the middle of downtown Birmingham, Alabama. Since opening in 2010, it's become one of the state's top outdoor attractions.
Covering approximately 19 acres, this picturesque park is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, especially during the Christmas season.
Speaking of the Christmas season, "Brrrmingham Winter Adventure in Railroad Park," which is presented by UAB Callahan Eye Hospital & Clinics, is currently taking place at the Regions Bank 17th Street Plaza and will be open through January 5, 2020. This season, a 100-foot ice slide has been added to the attraction. This is a thrilling ride for all ages. Sliding prices are as follows: Adult, $10; Children 12 and Under, $8; Groups of 20+, $7. If you're interested in taking a spin around the ice rink AND coasting down the ice slide, there's also a combo ticket price.
