Paul M. Grist State Park, which covers 1,080 acres, is located in Valley Grande, Alabama on the Alabama Black Belt Birding Trail.

If you wish to extend your day trip to an overnight stay, you're in luck because this state park also offers camping options. Situated on the banks of Paul Grist Lake are 11 RV campsites that include 30 and 50-amp services, in addition to sewer and water. Primitive campsites are also available.
