Alabama is home to a variety of incredible attractions. Interestingly, some of them are among the oldest attractions in America. One in particular is Rickwood Field, which you can learn all about below.
Rickwood Field is located in Birmingham, Alabama. It was built in 1910 by a young industrialist named Rick Woodward, which makes it America's oldest baseball park.
It's also been preserved as a museum. During your visit, you'll discover several things that'll remind you of yesteryear, including an old turn-style entrance and lots of unique memorabilia from baseball's earliest days.
Many well-known legends have played at Rickwood Field such as Babe Ruth, Jackie Robinson, Willie Mays, and more. A few movies have also been filmed here, including "42" - a biopic of Jackie Robinson starring Chadwick Boseman.
For more information about Rickwood Field, you can view its website here and its Facebook page here.
