Covering 200 acres, this annual festival is the largest peanut festival in the nation. Approximately 200,000 people are expected to attend this year's event, which is celebrating its 76th year.
One of the highlights of the National Peanut Festival is its parade. It's scheduled to take place in downtown Dothan on November 9, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
There's also a petting zoo that's thoroughly enjoyed by children and adults alike. It features a variety of rare and exotic animals from around the world.
Several food vendors will also be onsite selling everything from corn dogs and hamburgers, to turkey legs and funnel cakes. There's something for everyone.
