Celebrate The History Of Mardi Gras At The Mobile Carnival Museum In Alabama

Several unique events take place each year in Alabama, including its famous Mardi Gras in Mobile. In a couple of weeks, this annual celebration will begin. It’s the perfect event for the entire family, so be sure to make plans to attend if you’re in the area.
Parades are one of Mardi Gras' most popular events, which will take place on January 25, 2020 for Lower Alabama, February 7, 2020 for Mobile, and its Fat Tuesday parades will take place on February 25, 2020. In 1703, Mardi Gras' celebration of the New World took place in Mobile, Alabama. Many people are surprised to learn this celebration didn't get its start in New Orleans, Louisiana.
If you're planning to attend this year's Mardi Gras in Mobile, a great place to visit prior is the Mobile Carnival Museum. This wonderful museum, which opened in 2005, celebrates the history of Mobile's Carnival and Mardi Gras.
The museum offers 14 gallery rooms, a pictorial hallway, a theater, a den for social gathering, and a gift shop. A few of the items on display include parade floats...
