Magnolia Springs is located in Baldwin County, Alabama. It's situated along the banks of the Magnolia River and is one of Alabama's most charming towns. With less than 1,000 residents, it's also one of the state's tiniest towns.
Established in 1891, Magnolia Springs is full of history. It was originally known as Magnolia Plantation. However, its name changed to Magnolia Springs because of its abundance of natural springs and magnolias. This tiny Gulf Coast town was eventually incorporated in 2006.
While driving through this tiny town, you'll notice several charming buildings. In fact, many of these buildings are included on the National Register of Historic Places.
In addition to its history and charm, another reason why people are fascinated with Magnolia Springs is because it's the only town in the U.S. that offers a year-round postal mail delivery service by boat. This has been taking place for more than 100 years.
