Since 1993, this small town has hosted the Alabama Cotton Festival. This year's event is scheduled to take place downtown on Saturday, October 14th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A variety of events are also scheduled to take place at this year's Alabama Cotton Festival, including a classic car show that will also have a motorcycle category.
And finally, this year the Cotton Queen Pageant, which will be held the week prior to the festival, will be open to all Alabama residents. Also, this year there will even be a 65 years and older category.
