Oak Mountain State Park is home to the Alabama Wildlife Center, which provides rehab to injured native birds each year. Once these birds receive the treatment they need, they're released back into the wild.
Without a doubt, the main attraction at Oak Mountain State Park is Peavine Falls. Peavine Falls is approximately 65ft tall, and it can be reached from several different hiking trails within the park. This waterfall truly is a beautiful sight, and it's also the main reason why many people choose to visit Oak Mountain State Park.
