If you’ve lived here a while, you know that growing up in Alabama beats just about anywhere else in the country, and living in Alabama makes us strong people with strong opinions. Whenever referring to the “hill” you want to die on, you’re letting it be known that you’re willing to fight for something that you feel strongly about. Everyone has their own hills that they feel strongly about and will defend to the death. Listed below are eight hills that Alabamians are willing to die on. 4. Another one of the most interesting facts about Alabama? Everything tastes much better deep-fried, especially catfish.

5. Growing up in Alabama means we all know our way around the great outdoors. After all, Alabama is home to some of the nation's top hiking trails, fishing spots, and campsites.
