The Stone Cuts Trail is located within Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville, Alabama. It's one of the Southeast's most unique hiking trails.

This unique loop trail, which is rated moderate in difficulty, is 2.4 miles long and takes 2.5 to 3.5 hours to complete. It's a great trail for the entire family.

It received its name because certain sections of the trail's limestone walls have deep cuts, as seen here:

The Stone Cuts Trail runs through the heart of these deep cuts, which were caused from years of erosion.

A series of steps will take you out of the cuts and lead you back to the trail.

From tunnels and caves, to boulders and wildflowers, you'll stumble upon many incredible features while hiking the Stone Cuts Trail.

You'll also experience the most breathtaking view!
