When Harrison Brothers Hardware first opened, it was operated as a tobacco shop. In 1897, the brothers purchased the hardware store's current building and began offering many more items. In 1902, they expanded into the adjoining building. In 1980, both buildings were listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Since its beginning, very little changes have been made to Harrison Brothers Hardware.
This antique cash register, which is still used today, is more than 100 years old and has been sitting in the same spot since 1907—when it was purchased brand new.

Harrison Brothers Hardware also has several antiques on display from its earlier days.
Because this historic hardware store is non-profit, it's run by volunteers and 100% of profits is invested back into the store to keep it going. It's always great to support businesses like these.
