Lucky for anyone in South Alabama come the end of January, all options are on the table at the Gumbo & Alabama Slammer Festival, a fun winter event in Foley, Alabama.

The Gumbo & Alabama Slammer Festival takes place on the last Saturday of January in downtown Foley's beautiful Heritage Park.

The event starts at 10 a.m., when the many arts, crafts, and other vendors open their tents to guests.

Given the festival's name, expect the savory scents of gumbo to fill the air. Food vendors and trucks will have many varieties on hand, in addition to their other menu favorites.

A big draw of the day is the ongoing live music. Typically three artists perform at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 4 p.m. The festival ends at 6 p.m.
