Golden Rule Bar-B-Q and Grill is an award-winning restaurant with multiple locations throughout Alabama. The restaurant's first location opened
in 1891, not too far from where the Irondale location stands today. The original location was a roadside stop.
One of the most interesting facts about Golden Rule Bar-B-Q and Grill is that it's the oldest continuously operating restaurant in Alabama. It's also America's 16th oldest restaurant.
The restaurant's "Spuds" continue to grow in popularity among the customers. These are jumbo baked potatoes that have been stuffed with meat (BBQ chicken, BBQ turkey, or original pork), cheese, bacon bits, and chives. Each "Spud" is served with a bowl of sauce.
In addition to barbecue, Golden Rule Bar-B-Q and Grill offers other types of food such as hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, etc. Click
