Here in Alabama, there’s definitely no shortage of creativity. With that being said, there are several places located across the state that’ll bring out your creative side, including the Kentuck Art Center. For information about this art center, take a look below.
The Kentuck Art Center is located in historic downtown Northport. It's one of Alabama's most creative attractions.
The art center's main feature is Rusty, the big red dog sculpture that's perched atop one of the art center's studio buildings. This whimsical sculpture is an iconic symbol for both the Kentuck Art Center and the city of Northport.
Speaking of shopping opportunities, the art center's gallery shop, which represents approximately 180 artists from across the country, is a definite must-visit. From art and pottery, to jewelry and stationery, the gallery shop offers something for everyone.
The Kentuck Art Center hosts Art Night on the first Thursday of each month. During this event, guests will get to browse the booths of local vendors, enjoy live music, and of course view unique works of art.
