Here in Alabama, we’re fortunate to have access to many amazing parks. While some of them are well-known state parks, others are lesser-known city parks. One of these city parks is Florala City Park. For information about this park, including its main attraction, take a look below.
Florala City Park, formally known as Florala State Park, covers 40 acres and is located in Covington County's small town of Florala. It's situated on the Florida-Alabama border.
Surrounding this beautiful park is Lake Jackson, which covers approximately 500 acres and is Alabama's only natural lake. It's also considered one of the state's cleanest and clearest bodies of water.
If you're wanting to experience Florala City Park and Lake Jackson for more than a day, no worries. There's also a campground onsite. It offers 28 campsites with 50 amp electrical service, water, and sewage hook-up. There's also a picnic table and grill at each site. For more information, including rates, click here.
And of course there's no better place to experience a summer sunset than Florala City Park. Whether you're viewing it from the lake's shore or from a boat, sunsets here are truly spectacular!
