Alabama is well known for its 22 beautiful state parks. Cheaha State Park is located in the tiny town of Delta and is completely surrounded by the Talladega National Forest. It opened in 1933, which makes it Alabama's oldest continuously operating state park.
This beautiful state park, which covers nearly 3,000 acres, is located atop Cheaha Mountain. With an elevation of 2,407 feet, it's Alabama's highest natural point.
From hiking and mountain biking, to fishing and swimming, Cheaha State Park offers a variety of recreational activities for all ages.
