Each year, the Eufaula Heritage Association hosts its Christmas Tour of Homes, which began in 2005. This year's event will take place typically in early December. A number of homes will be featured on the tour, including Shorter Mansion, its most famous home of all.
Shorter Mansion is a classic Revival-style home that was built in 1884. Tragically, it burned down in 1900 and has to be restored to its original grandeur. It was occupied by descendants of the original owners until the 1950s when it became a historic preservation property.
