This year's Alabama Jubilee Hot Air Balloon Classic will take place May 27-28 at Decatur's Point Mallard Park.
This unique festival, which began in 1978, is the oldest hot air balloon race in the mid-South.
Each year, the Alabama Jubilee Hot Air Balloon Classic features approximately 60 hot air balloons and receives visitors from all across the United States.
Because of this event's continuous popularity, Decatur has been designated the "Ballooning Capital of Alabama."
The Alabama Jubilee Hot Air Balloon Classic is a great festival for all ages, and it's also FREE to attend - thanks to its many sponsors.
Visitors are also allowed to walk onto the field during the balloon launch.
In addition to watching the hot air balloons take off, visitors will enjoy live music and entertainment...
