Celebrate style, etiquette, and good conversation over a traditional tea service at a delightful tea room-themed cafe in Florence, Alabama – Enchanted Gatherings. The cafe opened in December 2023 within this northwest Alabama city’s thriving downtown.
Many people around the area have experienced Enchanted Gatherings' work in lovely venues throughout town. Business owner Gaye Box founded the business as a special event planning and catering service – a third career path after many years in corporate work followed by a career in home health care.
The Enchanted Gatherings team customizes selections to suit clients' themes and unique needs, always incorporating luxury details such as linen tablecloths, fine china, crystal stemware, and gleaming silverware. No details are left unattended.
Enchanted Gatherings found a home in downtown Florence, opening its doors to guests for set hours each week while continuing to offer catering services for off-site events.
Meanwhile, reservations are required for the formal tea parties, because a maximum of 20 people can be seated. Formal tea parties are held once daily at 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays and twice daily on Fridays and Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Formal teas include three courses of made-from-scratch goodies, starting with savory, then scones, and concluding with sweets. Among the cutest things I have seen are the banana cream pies in mini teacups featured on the catering menu.
Favorite items at both the cafe and off-site parties are individual charcuterie boards filled with a variety of veggies, nuts, meats, fruit, and cheeses.
