Madison County Nature Trail, which covers 72 acres, is tucked away within the city of Huntsville atop of Green Mountain.
Featuring a 17-acre lake (Sky Lake) and lots of beautiful wildlife and plant life, it's the perfect spot for anyone who loves nature.
There's also a 1.5-mile trail that'll take you around Sky Lake.
During your visit to Alabama's Madison County Nature Trail, you'll also encounter a variety of unique structures, including the Cambron Covered Bridge, which crosses Sky Lake and was built in 1974.
Another unique structure you'll encounter during your visit is a log cabin. By viewing this structure up close, you'll get a much better understanding of how people in the Huntsville area lived a long time ago.
An A-frame chapel also sits on the property. Over the years, this structure has become a popular spot to have weddings.
