One place in the Yellowhammer State that’s well known for its natural features, including waterfalls, is Turkey Creek Nature Preserve. Turkey Creek Nature Preserve is located in Pinson, Alabama. Covering nearly 500 acres, it's considered one of the state's best nature spots.
This scenic preserve is best known for its main waterfall, which is commonly referred to as "The Falls." Over the years, "The Falls" has become a popular swimming spot for locals and visitors alike.
However, "The Falls" isn't the only waterfall at Turkey Creek Nature Preserve that attracts visitors from near and far. There's another waterfall located at the preserve that flows into its famous "Blue Hole," which is an emerald pool of water.
The "Blue Hole" is considered one of Alabama's top swimming holes. Many thanks to its emerald color, it's also one of the most beautiful.
Even though the waterfall that flows into the "Blue Hole" isn't Turkey Creek Nature Preserve's main feature, it still attracts several visitors each year. After seeing it for the first time, it's easy to understand why.
