The Falling Rock Falls Trail is located within the Cahaba River National Wildlife Refuge near Montevallo, Alabama.
This scenic trail has an easy rating and is 1.8 miles out and back. It's perfect for all skill levels.
While hiking the Falling Rock Falls Trail, you'll encounter lots of scenery. However, it's the 90-foot waterfall at the end of the trail that makes the hike well worth it.
Getting to the falls is quite easy. Once you arrive at the trailhead, you'll simply park and walk around the gate.
You'll then walk and take the first road on your left. As you're walking down this road, you'll take the first road on your right. You'll continue on for about 1/4 of a mile until you come to a road with a mound of dirt in front of it. From there, you'll walk around the dirt mound and proceed downhill to the falls.
After reaching Falling Rock Falls, you'll want to be extra careful. Because you'll be approaching the waterfall from the top, you'll have easy access to the edge.
After arriving at the top of the waterfall, you can follow the trail to the bottom and explore the cavern that's located beside it. This is a definite must-do for nature lovers!
