EarlyWorks Children's Museum In Alabama Is The South’s Largest Hands-On History Museum

There are many types of museums located throughout Alabama, including several that offer a hands-on learning experience. One of these museums in particular is the EarlyWorks Children’s Museum. For information about this museum, take a look below.
The EarlyWorks Children's Museum is located in historic downtown Huntsville, Alabama. It's part of the EarlyWorks Family of Museums and is the perfect attraction for children between the ages of 2 and 9. Of course everyone is welcome.
Measuring approximately 50,000 square feet, this hands-on history museum is the South's largest. Since opening in 1998, it's welcomed numerous visitors from near and far.
One of the museum's main attractions is its Talking Tree, which shares folk tales of Alabama history, Native American cultures, and more.
The EarlyWorks Children's Museum also features a variety of hands-on exhibits. Both children and adults enjoy interacting with each of them.
During their visit, kids will have the opportunity to trade wares at the general store, in addition to...
...exploring a 46-foot Keelboat, which will let them experience river travel in the nineteenth century.
Toddlers enjoy Biscuit's Backyard, which is a touch-and-learn area with activities that encourage fine motor skill development.
There's also a replica grocery store and post office where children can play make believe.
