1. Selma
Selma, the county seat of Dallas County, is located on the banks of the Alabama River. This charming river town is best known for the "Selma to Montgomery Marches," and it's also home to Alabama's largest contiguous historic district.

2. Tuscaloosa
Tuscaloosa, the county seat of Tuscaloosa County, is located along the banks of the Black Warrior River. Tuscaloosa served as Alabama's capital city from 1826 to 1846, and it's home to the University of Alabama (Crimson Tide).

3. Florence
Florence, the county seat of Lauderdale County, is located along the banks of the Tennessee River. This charming town is well known for its historic downtown area, which hosts a variety of eating establishments and specialty shops.

4. Wetumpka
Wetumpka, nicknamed "The City of Natural Beauty," is the county seat of Elmore County. Wetumpka's historic downtown area was developed on each side of the Coosa River.

5. Montgomery
Montgomery, the capital city of Alabama, is located on the Alabama River, in the Gulf Coastal Plain. This historic city is regarded as the birthplace of the Civil Rights Movement.

6. Decatur
Decatur, nicknamed "The River City," is the county seat of Morgan County. This beautiful city is located along the Tennessee River.

7. Demopolis
Demopolis, located in Marengo County, is nicknamed "City of the People." This charming river town is located at the meeting of the Tombigbee and Black Warrior Rivers.

Mobile, the county seat of Mobile County, is the home of America's original Mardi Gras. The Mobile River, located in Mobile, forms at the meeting of the Tombigbee and Alabama Rivers.
