1.) The day the "Stand in the Schoolhouse Door" took place outside Foster Auditorium at the University of Alabama, which took place on June 11, 1963. To keep his promise of segregation, Governor George Wallace stood at the door to block the entry of two African-American students - Vivian Malone and James Hood.
2.) When the three "Selma to Montgomery Marches" took place in 1965, which were led by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and were part of the Voting Rights Movement.
7.) The day of January 27, 2011 when Harvey Updyke, an Alabama football fan, called Paul Finebaum's national radio show to brag about poisoning Toomer's Oaks in Auburn. Updyke served 6 months in jail and was ordered to pay $800,000 for poisoning the trees.
8.) The years 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 when one of our college football teams, Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers, became the national champions. The state of Alabama brought home the crystal BCS trophy FOUR YEARS IN A ROW!
